Photovoltaic panels generate electricity even in cloudy days, although their performance is lower. The production of electricity varies linearly to the light that comes in contact on the panel; one totally cloudy day equals approximately to the 10% of the intensity of the sunlight and the performance of the panel decreases proportionally to this value.
